I love the concept of blogs. I read articles on blogging, I read individual blogs, but I just can’t seem to get the hang of regular blogging. Why is that? What new idea I realized recently was that I regularly and happily pin on Pinterest. What have they done that makes the experience so addictive and enjoyable? I hate making lists. Keeping files is not something I do. Yet I pin.
The visual aspect of Pinterest is definitely part of the answer. Most of my pins are there because of the image. But some of my boards are there because of content important to me. These boards are my files. They remind me of things I want to do and I want to learn. The visual images sooth me as I click through them.
So, why not blog like Pinterest? I can use my board names as categories and speak to things that are on my mind. Let’s see if this can lead to regular, enjoyable blogging.
