kindle for PC

Quite a while ago I accidentally found the Kindle for PC on the amazon.com site and immediately downloaded it. I had not realized that you did not need a Kindle to download ebooks. There are so many free ebooks available through the Amazon Kindle store, both permanently free, such as the classics, and temporarily free, such as the self-published new books of many authors. These latter can be found easily by scouring the different Kindle store pages; Amazon keeps a running list of what is free. I now have over 1,000 free ebooks on my Kindle for PC. I love it.
